Synopsis:
Following AGE OF HEROES and AGE OF HONOUR, comes AGE
OF GLORY, the concluding part of an astounding WW2
trilogy, promising to take the British Commandos on
their toughest and most dangerous mission yet; to
support a people under attack from a trained and
ruthless Japanese army. Assigned to assist the
Chindits, an allied Force operating deep behind
enemy lines in North Burma, Commandos Lawrence and
Mac find themselves in the middle of an escalating
and bloody conflict against Japan. Vastly
outnumbered and facing an experienced and versatile
enemy, Lawrence struggles with witnessing horrors
and atrocities on a previously unseen scale. But
Fleming's new mission alerts Lawrence to the needs
of countless Burmese innocents, and with a new found
leadership, resolve and determination, the Commandos
team up with Lieutenant Carlson's Raider Squadron
and parachute into the Burmese jungle to hunt down
enemy leader, General Tazoe, facing a danger-riddled
battleground and expert opponent. Brimming with
authenticity and action packed from the get-go, AGE
OF GLORY will raise the bar yet again in a fitting
third chapter to a thrilling and unrivalled
franchise; when soldiers became heroes, when honour
superseded life, and when glory was found not only
in victory, but in the fight itself. |

Synopsis:
The Dirty Dozen' meets 'Tigerland' in AGE OF HEROES
'an action-packed adrenalin shot based on the true
story of the formation of James Bond creator Ian
Fleming's 30 Commando, one of the most respected,
secretive and exclusive special forces regiments
formed during the Second World War, from which the
now legendary SAS was born. Ambushed deep behind
enemy lines in WW2, the young British corporal Rains
(DANNY DYER) fearlessly leads his men out of danger.
But his rogue attitude costs him, and he's sent to
an allied military prison for insubordination. When
the highly esteemed Captain Jones (SEAN BEAN) shows
up, Rains's bravado and raw display of fighting
skills impress Jones enough to recruit him for his
'Commando' unit. After weeks of mentally intense and
physically grueling training ops where Jones tests
his men to their breaking point, they are quickly
assigned their first mission; to parachute into
occupied Norway and capture a deadly new radar
technology from the Germans. But as they get near
the drop-zone, the newly formed band of brothers,
joined by 'Norwegian yank' Steiner and beautiful
blonde spy Jensen, find themselves in the midst of a
fierce dogfight, before crash landing in a Norwegian
village where Nazis have been mercilessly executing
civilians. In a bloody battle in the mountains of
Norway, outnumbered by an enemy as ruthless as it is
clinical, the soldiers soon realize it's do-or-die
time. And by pushing their innate skills and
hardcore training to the nth degree, we see that
this is no time for ordinary soldiers... This is the
AGE OF HEROES. |

The second film of the all action trilogy, AGE OF
HONOUR sees a new squadron of British Commandos
launch an offensive in the sand swept deserts of
North Africa pitted against the notorious battle
tactician, Field Marshall Erwin Rommel, known as
'Desert Fox'. Led by Corporal Lawrence, the
Commandos join forces with the famed SAS and Long
Range Desert Group to infiltrate a German outpost
and assassinate a high-profile enemy target, thought
to help change the tide of the War. Enlisting two
agents from the Special Operations Executive, based
on instructions from Commander Fleming, the
beautiful assassins Sophie Holbrook and Vera Stevens
target the head of enemy forces in North Africa
whilst the elite British soldiers are tested to
their limit in wave after wave of hostile attacks
and explosive dogfights. Retaining the blistering
combat, adventure and camaraderie of AGE OF HEROES,

desert warfare, but also capture the bond between
soldiers over fading dreams of returning home. |

Synopsis:
CHILDREN OF THE REVOLUTION tells the stories of
Ulrike Meinhof and Fusako Shigenobu - two women who
emerged from the student revolutions of 1968 to
become the leading female revolutionaries of their
time. Appalled by the killing in Vietnam, they set
out to destroy capitalist power through world
revolution, as leaders of the Baader Meinhof Group
and the Japanese Red Army. Authors and journalists
Bettina Röhl and May Shigenobu explore the lives of
their mothers, Ulrike and Fusako, providing a unique
perspective on two of the most notorious
"terrorists" in contemporary history. On the run or
kidnapped when their mothers went underground, May
and Bettina emerged from difficult childhoods to
lead their own extraordinary lives. With capitalism
once more in crisis, they face up to their mother's
actions and we ask: what were they fighting for and
what have we learned? Shot in Tokyo, Beirut, Jordan
and Germany, the film tells the fascinating stories
of Meinhof and Shigenobu through the eyes of May and
Bettina, with evocative film of revolutionary
training camps and rare archive interviews. |

Synopsis:
In a small, remote mountain top primary school in
the Kenyan bush, hundreds of children are jostling
for a chance for the free education newly promised
by the Kenyan government. One new applicant causes
astonishment when he knocks on the door of the
school. He is Maruge (Oliver Litondo), an old Mau
Mau veteran in his eighties, who is desperate to
learn to read at this late stage of his life. He
fought for the liberation of his country and now
feels he must have the chance of an education so
long denied - even if it means sitting in a
classroom alongside six-year-olds. Moved by his
passionate plea, head teacher Jane Obinchu (Naomie
Harris), supports his struggle to gain admission and
together they face fierce opposition from parents
and officials who don't want to waste a precious
school place on such an old man. Full of vitality
and humour, the film explores the remarkable
relationships Maruge builds with his classmates some
eighty years his junior. Through Maruge's journey,
we are taken back to the shocking untold story of
British colonial rule 50 years earlier where Maruge
fought for the freedom of his country, eventually
ending up in the extreme and harsh conditions of the
British detention camps. Directed by Justin Chadwick
(THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL/BLEAK HOUSE) from a script by
Emmy-winner Ann Peacock (THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA,
NIGHTS IN RODANTHE, KIT KITTRIDGE), THE FIRST GRADER
is a heart warming and inspiring true story of one
man's fight for what he believes is his right in
order to overcome the burdens of his past. It is a
triumphant testimony to the transforming force of
education. The filming process itself was quite
extraordinary, as the children in the film 'who are
in many ways the stars 'had never even seen a film
or television set before let alone been involved in
the filming process. Their involvement in the shoot
was a totally novel experience for them and their
enthusiasm and energy is captured beautifully on
screen |

Synopsis:
Featuring music from the world's greatest composer
Mozart, and his famous opera "COSI FAN TUTTE". This
is a movie which fuses the stately grandeur of
Gosford Park with the magical music of Amadeus for a
unique story of love's fluctuating fortunes, set
against a sumptuous backdrop of visual and vocal
beauty. As the cast, drama and score all tread the
tightrope of tone between humour and pathos, what
unfolds is a timeless romantic comedy. Adam is a
rich industrialist, who aspires to a more cultured
world. Spurred on by playful jibes that he's little
more than a city suit living the capitalist's dream,
this frustrated amateur opera singer decides to
throw an opera in his lavish country retreat. Once
his friends see him belting out the notes, he feels
sure it will spell the end to their shallow taunts.
In fact, it might even help him win the hand of a
female conductor he's been pursuing whom, it just so
happens, is the first to be recruited for his
showpiece. |

Synopsis:
There are three things in JOHN'S life. Betting,
betting and betting. Betting rules John's life in
more ways than any normal, sane, rational,
non-gambling person can ever imagine. For John, it's
an obsession. But his wife HELEN puts up with it
because she loves him - and she loves the high of a
big win. When John's rolling in it, they both roll
in it 'flash hotels, flash holidays and a flash
life...for a while. When it's good it's good and
when it's not, there's always next time. And most
important, John's honest with Helen: if he loses, he
tells her. Always. That is, up until he meets STAN.
Stan is a new bookie down at the dog track. Stan is
also a woman. John's never seen a female bookie at
the track. Neither have WAGNER and ADRIAN, his two
best friends. So John puts his money with Stan, and
he wins. Big time. But soon enough the money's gone,
and the wins dry up. It's at that point that Stan
offers John a new way to make money, the Special
Bet. The Special Bet can take any form, eat a hot
chilli, spend a week in the bath, and pull out that
broken tooth. Each time John can win real money by
completing one, but Stan decides the stake and she
has a penchant for personal things. She's not
interested in money, but if something has
sentimental value then that's what she demands as a
stake. There's only one other rule, a Special Bet
stays secret. No one else is allowed to know. Not
even Helen. But when Adrian dies in a mysterious
accident John wonders if he was the only person
taking these Special Bets. He decides he's had
enough but it's not that easy to walk away from
Stan. Events start spiralling out of control as John
digs himself deeper into Stan's pocket, until the
stakes are raised to mind-blowing odds. The bet
could change John's life, but like all of Stan's
bets there are rules which cannot be broken. Break
them and face the consequences. With his family.
With his friends. John is going to make one last
bet, and the stakes can't get any higher than this. |

Children's Hour on NBC. She was community activist
and organizer. She struggled to create a Puerto
Rican studies department in Brooklyn College that
still exists today. She worked as a journalist and

was a member of the FALN, (Fuerzas Armadas de
Liberacion Nacional) 'the Armed Forces of National
Liberation, a clandestine group dedicated to
fighting for the liberation of Puerto Rico from the
US colonial rule. She gave birth to a son and was
forced to give him up to strangers to raise when she
went underground to continue the fight for her
country's freedom. She was arrested, charged with
seditious conspiracy, and refused to participate in
her trial by taking a prisoner of war status, in
which she did not recognize the US government as
having any jurisdiction over her throughout her
trial. She was found guilty and sentenced to
sixty-three years. Twenty. We live in a world that
confuses prominence for significance, fame for
importance and celebrity for substance. In a
different world Dylcia Pagan would be universally
hailed as a heroine. She would be recognized for the
sacrifices she's chose to make and would be a living
folk hero. But that's all not the world we live in.
Dylcia is significant but not prominent, important
but not famous, substantial but not a celebrity. |

Synopsis:
HIDDEN REALITY is a fantasy thriller with the
elements of a fable. It a story about a "CITY" where
people are forced to live under the rules of a
system made by powerful and corrupt Corporations and
politicians. It's a story about talented people,
individual thinkers that struggle and fights for a
freeway of life, for art, individuality and human
values. HIDDEN REALITY tackles the fragility of
today's complexe society by capturing it through the
eyes of a young photographer Anne Coldwell. Anne
leaves in a society of consumers assembled and
guided by gluttony, hate, lust, selfishness and
deceptions willingly destroying the individuals and
individuality. A Society "founded" and controlled,
from the shadow, by Dante and his global corp. Anne
is a wall flower by nature, she is hidding from the
rest of the world behind the photo camera. She came
to terms that she will be always lonely and
insignificant like other millions and millions of
people on this planet. Dante managed over the
centuries to find and take advantage of the Human
weakness for more and indirectly "controls" the
Human's Decisions based on our greed and vanity.
Anne finds herself now in the middle of a battle
hidden from the human eye for centuries. |
